Core Dance creates art, facilitates art-making, and engenders art engagement for those seeking to connect with what makes us uniquely human: our intellect, our emotional body, our spiritual center. The body is our playground, movement our building blocks. Within our bodies resides the whole of life, every truth. Through dance and the process of creating it we activate that which makes us individually unique and connect it to that which makes us indivisibly One.
5pm | 4 Dec | Emory University’s Dance Studio at the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts @ 1700 North Decatur Road, Atlanta
After weeks of sharing their individual works with each other, artists from a variety of disciplines close out a semester’s worth of providing and receiving feedback, and constant revising and sharpening of their creative visions, with a showcase of their improved works.
Core Dance, in partnership with The Field NYC, has offered Fieldwork to Atlanta art makers of all stripes for over 20 years. Hundreds of local artists have personally benefitted, and the quality of life for all Atlantans has been elevated. Sponsoring Fieldwork fulfills our love for, and our commitment to expanding the art of making art.
